In this line of business, you meet a lot of people sometimes through the products you carry or sometimes by chance and just wanting to check you out. Well I met Michael and Toni Stewart because they were looking for big bait. I just got the NEW Jumbo's in and he wanted to check them out. Now let me tell you Mike wanted the biggest shiners I had.... now I know everyone wants the biggest but he had a lot of passion around it and was looking for even larger than what I carry in the shop. Being really busy at the shop that day... I had limited conversation with him, but I could tell he was on a mission for some big fish...
so, I received a text with just the first picture (under) and was impressed by the fish and thought that was pretty much an amazing fish and people would be happy to catch 1 of these trophy fish in New Jersey.
Then I sent him a text asking the size of the fish for my fishing report to The Fisherman Magazine at Old School Outdoors Archives - The Fisherman .
Then he sent me 5 more pictures of these amazing New Jersey trophy fish... They finished out with a total of 6 fish. Mike caught 4 and his wife got 2 with the biggest being 45.5 inches and 41lbs. Unfortunately, I was sworn to secrecy so I will not be able to disclose the location. All I can tell you is it is North of shop and in New Jersey.
